Midnight on the Orient Express July 30th, 2004 Presented by Horseshoe Casino and Hotel While the Philadelphia Center employs a myriad of fundraisers throughout the year our signature event has always been the Annual Auction Against AIDS. This event has grown over the past several years to become the largest event of its kind in the state and grows larger every year. The success of previous years has allowed for the Philadelphia Center to maintain and expand the level of services we are able to offer those in our region living with HIV/AIDS. Funds received are used to provide rent and housing subsidies, medication assistance, substance abuse and mental counseling, medical and dental care to name a few. The Auction is actually a two part event; the larger silent auction is a host of fabulous merchandise and services donated from area businesses and individuals while the "live" auction offers unique and spectacular items such as trips, original artwork, and fully catered parties. Of course none of this would be possible without the Philadelphia Center's Auction Committee which plays an integral part of the planning and production of the event.
